cool. clear. water, water, water

They (my landlord and co) turned off the cold water in my whole apartment building. It's only for a couple of hours he said (and I hope). This at first didn't seem like that big of a deal. But now it's hitting me just how much I use water. It's like all of the sudden I realize that I must do all of these things that involve water. And I would like it to be back on right now.

Hello blogging world.
Work is work and can be busy and thus can make one quite tired at times. I have all intentions of updating, and then by the time that supper happens...I'm pooped and just want to sit and veg. Ah yes. Vegging, I've gotten quite good at this.

My birthday has been and gone. Happy birthday me!

Skratch is here this Friday! Yahoo!!!! Can't wait. After working the 2 jobs on what I'm sure will be a nice hot and humid day, skratch is just what I'll need!!

well that was a drive

Well that was a drive. Just as the tittle says.  I was supposed to have a meeting this morning, however never had it confirmed that it was going to be today.  But I thought better safe than sorry, and since the person the meeting was with was not as prompt as I am in replying to email, so I headed out for the meeting.
This thing is, it was not just in town, and so there was a little bit of a drive. I got there and realized that indeed the meeting was NOT a go for today; the person I was meeting with isn't even in the province today. Opps.
I am just slightly annoyed only for the fact that I could have slept for an extra 45 minutes. And I do love me my sleep. Oh well. Mistakes happen.

In other news, it is a dear friend's birthday today.  I like birthdays because you can say all day long "It's my birthday!", and try to get away with stuff.  Eg Dishes need to be done... "but it's my birthday!".  I feel like it's the one day one can and SHOULD be lazy and just do whatever.  However, my friend does have to work today. Which has happened to me in the past (in fact one year, I had to work Work #1 and Work #2 on my birthday).  But this is ok, as she can 1) try to take advantage of the "but it's my birthday" at work 2) celebrate after work and 3) get to celebrate all day long this weekend thus extending the birthday-ness.

What this long rant was really intended to say is: HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAUREN!!! *big virtual internet hug* I how you have a wonderful day. And here is your internet gift, a fun video that makes me think of you (because you introduce me to it) and is just plain fun!

dream on

This whole not really working thing... is starting to get boring. Luckily... I GOT A JOB!!!
Yes that's right: I GOT A JOB!!!
I don't know if you can tell, dear internet world, but I am pretty excited about this fact.

In other news, this weekend was beautiful (weather wise) and I would like for it to be summer already. That would be great.  Wearing fun cute outfits and going for fishbowls.  I really hope they will make a virgin fishbowl for me.. maybe if I smile really pretty and ask nicely? And tip big?

Oh! And there has been talk of karaoke taking place this summer too.  I think that's what I shall do with the rest of my time until my job (did you know that I got a job??!!) starts. I will find the best karaoke songs and start practicing, get the dance moves down and stuff.

You would think with all this time off I'd actually update my blog a bit more......meh.

sour jellybeans

National high five day!! *Internet high five*

Only 4 more teaching days left.  I'm excited to be done and a little bit sad at the same time.  I really do enjoy teaching. I really do. I love the feeling of thinking "BAM. I taught you this and now you understand!"... or at least I hope you understand. Plus, I love Math.

Still don't have employment set up for the summer.  I know that I've got some part time work set up...but I think/know I need more then that. Thus, I'm stuck.  I should be panicking, but I'm not.  Obla di obla da.

Ps I had no idea panicking was spelled as it is.. thank you Google.

Foooooour

The masters is on this weekend.  I am pretty excited to watch them.  Normally, I am not a big golf fan.  The one time I tried to play 18 holes, I got bored after 5 and skipped to the back 9, walked a few holes and played the last one. But watching it is a completely different story.
Now, I know many people will read this (and by many I mean the 4 people that read this), and think that the reason that I am watching this year is to do with Tiger Woods and his scandalous actions.  To be honest, yes I like watching Tiger Woods.  But this was before his scandal.  I just think he's a good player and his celebrity (before the scandal) is interesting. So yes, I was interested to see how he played but not because of the fact that he back from a sex addiction and because he's cheated repeatedly on his wife.  But because I want to see how he plays after the 5 months leave from the game he's had.
Yes, he did terrible things.  No, he's not really someone to look up to. But you can't take away from him that he is a good golfer.
And the stories coming from this year's tournament.  There's the amazing back to back bogeys eagles (thanks L) that Phil Mickelson made this afternoon (one hole he made it from over 100 yards out).  Then the Fred Couples and his happy go lucky appearance including lack of socks.  Oh, and Anthony Kim who L and I have dubbed mini-Tiger.  Oh, and I throughly enjoy when people hit it into the crowd. So fun.
Anyways. Enough about golf. I must go watch some more now.

*Edit: I do know the difference between a bogey and an eagle. Really I do.
